We provide services related to generative AI testing and red teaming, audits, governance policies, and more.

We provide privileged and confidential AI audits and red teaming focused on legal liability and technical risk. Our algorithmic services are tailored to each client's unique needs, and range from initial assessments of AI risks, to hands-on technical remediation of AI systems. Each engagement is conducted in line with relevant legal standards—including existing laws and developing legal frameworks unique to every client and AI system.

We provide customized AI governance policies and procedures tailored to each organization, helping to ensure AI risk mitigation processes are adopted and operationalized across the entire enterprise. For clients with existing AI governance policies, we customize those policies to address and manage specific legal risks. For clients without AI governance policies, we collaboratively build new policies from scratch—all with a focus on practical implementation unique to each client to minimize AI risk.

We assess de-identification risks for data used to train AI systems, evaluating how de-identification or anonymization efforts align to existing legal standards for each data source. Our de-identification assessments also include optional statistical certifications attesting to the low likelihood of reidentifiability, which our clients can use to demonstrate compliance with relevant legal standards.

We work hand-in-hand with each client to create custom software that helps to automate the testing and documentation of AI and data for risks, with a focus on fairness and bias testing, privacy, and de-identification. Our software enables our clients to scale oversight to additional AI models, streamlining the efficiency of manual review (and reducing the need to call us for help). We maintain an optional subscription service to continuously support and update our software to reflect evolving legal standards.

In addition to our commercial clients, we provide select advice and counsel to a number of different regulatory and governmental agencies at the municipal, state, and federal levels. Among such efforts is our work for the National Institute of Standards and Technology, where we are the first law firm in the history of NIST to be awarded a research grant.
